Workshops

Nick Sorensen is a skilled leader of music workshops for individuals, groups and schools. The workshops can be adapted to suit all ages and abilities. Simple practical exercises are used to build confidence and develop the ability to improvise. Above all they are lots of fun!

Nick’s teaching is based on John Steven’s groundbreaking book “Search and Reflect” which emphasises the importance of  listening skills and interaction with other musicians.

Passing It On - the Pee Wee Ellis masterclasses

A unique collaboration between the internationally renowned musician Pee Wee Ellis and Nick Sorensen offers musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking educational programme.

The workshop aims to:

• provide the opportunity for musicians of all ages and abilities to learn from a world class musician
• build the self-esteem that allows musicians to improvise
• create an original piece of music in group setting
• learn some compositions written by Pee Wee Ellis
• support musicians tp develop the skills required to play in a group
